THE RULES
1. Please refrain from discussing Tegan and Sara's personal life. We limit the discussion of the band to their public life, not their personal life. Any discussion of their personal matters will, in general, be removed. (if it feels like you shouldn't post it, you probably shouldn't).
2. Banner size is limited. Please keep them to 450x85 (or smaller) or you will be asked to remove them from your signature, or they will be removed for you. (This includes last.fm banners and animated gifs)
3. Use the search option to look for threads that already exist before beginning a new topic. When requesting audio or video, please check the stickied threads first. Chances are its already posted and available. If not, USE the REQUEST THREAD.
4. Signatures should be limited to a reasonable size. Whats reasonable? If your signature is often bigger than the content of your posts, its probably too big. 3 quotes, a banner and an animated gif might be a bit much.
5. Make the title of any new threads you create relevant to the subject matter it discusses (for example: a thread about Tegan's new tattoo should not be entitled "Does" then have "Tegan have a new tattoo?" as the content of the post).
6. Avoid excessive quoting. Quote the portion relative to your response.
7. Guidelines for Official Releases, Photo Rules and all that good stuff
* With regard to Officially Released Albums and DVDs, requests on this board are prohibited. If the album is commercially available, then we encourage the fans to support the artist and BUY the album.
* Photos, Pictures and the like has a very fine line, where most often, common sense tells you what is/is not ok to post. For example, officially released photos, Public photos, .com photos are all ok. You and your mates with t+s are ok, Concert photos are ok. Whats not ok is Personal Photos [where you have searched photobucket for eight hours] or family photos which are clearly not intended for the public arena. This also goes for posting other peoples pictures, if they belong to someone else or contain other people, you must have the approval of the owner/subject before you start posting them over the internet. The Admin/Moderators will use their discretion and remove anything that is considered 'inappropriate' however in most cases, we expect members to respect the girls' privacy.
Here's a quick list of dos and don'ts for the dot .ca forum. This isn't exhaustive but it does cover most of the general forum rules and code of conduct. This is not a replacement for reading the FAQ but a refresher and a good place to point people new to the forum if they are breaking rules or confused.

* DO know the difference between differences of opinion and personal attacks
* DON'T present your opinions as facts
